Review
Six days, seventeen locations, around seven hundred kilometres, hundreds of smiles and joyful children.
Our EUNIORS Youth and Sports Association, on the wings of the folk tale, embarked on a nationwide tour, since 30 September is the birthday of Elek Benedek, and it is the Hungarian Folk Tale Day, during which we visited the town of Penc, Pest county, Vácrátót, Vác, Váchartyán and Vácduka, and from the Danube bend, through Győr to Nagyszékely, Tolna county. Our storytellers Zsuzsanna Szabados, Andrea Csörgei, Lóránt Csíki, Frida Sík and Anna Szabó Ilyés, and our folk dance instructors József Juhász, Emese Bálint and Brigi Vidák entertained families with dance workshops in our different locations.
Traditionally, we also held our Regional Folk Song Competition, which this year was hosted by Vácduka. We provided the framework for the event, which was filled with content by the students and their teachers, and we thank them for their dedicated work.
Thanks to our cooperation with the creators of the Szeklerland Legendary, our audience was able to get acquainted with the beautiful landscapes of Szeklerland, its exciting legends, the tasty speech and the witty people living there through the screenings of the episodes of the animated series. We hope that they will be inspired to visit these wonderful places and return home rich not only with experiences but also with a sense of national belonging.
Thanks to Rozi Makkos and her folk song group for the colourful songs that enriched the programme.
As Elek Benedek said "I was a disciple of Jesus, I bent down to children, I lifted them to my heart, I raised them to love."
Our main sponsor is OPUS ENERGETIKA Group.
Our other sponsors are the Szeklerland Legendary, PEDRÓ Bakery and Café and V.I.P. Post
